08/09/06 -Best-of-Breed Technologies Unite for Matador™ IBC Showcase Stand 8.320a, IBC, Amsterdam - 8th September 2006 : FBBT, which develops, sells and supports MatadorT, the first Operational Support System (OSS) for broadcasters, cable and satellite providers, is pleased to announce that it has secured the cooperation of other best-of-breed technology vendors in order to showcase the launch of Version 2 of its OSS Matador.
On its stand at IBC 2006 FBBT will be using technology supplied by both Pro-Bel - the premier manufacturer of routing switchers, master control, automation, modular infrastructure and control and monitoring technologies - and Omneon - leading provider of standard, high, and mixed definition media servers for the broadcast and video industry - to showcase the working relationship between best-of-breed partners. Pro-Bel will be supplying both Vistek modular infrastructure product as well as its Morpheus automation system while Omneon will be supplying a SpectrumT media server. Matador is also integrated with MediaGridT active storage system and will run a demonstration with both MediaGridT and SpectrumT on the Omneon stand (8.260).
Matador 2 provides dynamic management of quality and costs enterprise-wide via its monitoring of the entire broadcast chain in real time. It introduces significant operational advances that will be unveiled and demonstrated at IBC.
