26/07/06 - PCR Goes the Extra Mile for the Right Candidate - Up mount Everest When specialist broadcast recruitment consultancy PCR found the ideal job for Neil Grant they made every effort to track him down. But even they were surprised when he answered the phone 5500 meters up Mount Everest.

Already an accomplished sailing and windsurfing instructor, Neil's fitness came into play as he provided the broadcast facilities for the Army's Everest West Ridge Expedition 2006. Although in a middle of this exceptional, high profile and high altitude career challenge, with his work being demonstrated on the web and television, Neil was able to take the call from PCR's Lewis Turner to offer him a job at Fighting Bull Broadcast Technologies. The call got through by satellite phone and undeterred, the two men discussed the opportunity and the deal was virtually signed and sealed.

Only problem was, of course, that Neil couldn't start until he was back from his expedition.

"It was somewhat of a surprise to get the call from PCR but that's the wonders of modern communications," said Neil; "PCR certainly went the extra mile to get me the new job with FBBT which started this month".
